Iowa Grown scholarship award winners

Eva was able to consistently manage work, school, and family while remaining a positive attitude. Everyone has said Eva has a heart of gold and would go out of her way to help anyone who needs help. Eva is pursuing a degree in nursing with hopes of working at the Children's Hospital. 

In Eva's own words, "I want to express my sincere gratitude for awarding me this scholarship! This generous award helps significantly with my financial burden with getting higher education, allowing me to concentrate fully on my academic and professional development. Your investment in my education is an investment in my future, and I am committed to excelling academically and contributing positively to my community, and I promise to make the most of this incredible opportunity you have given me. Thank you again for your confidence in my potential and for your support!"

Cullen is a focused young man with clear goals and ambitions for himself. The Iowa Proud Board of Directors were unanimous that Cullen is exactly the type of student we want to support and awarded him the Iowa Grown Scholarship. 

Cullen reached out to the board members to let them know his appreciation for receiving this award.  In Cullen's own words, "I’m going to use this scholarship to forward my education in industrial technology and engineering education. High school has been fun working and participating in sports. From getting this scholarship it has helped me realize that there are people who want me to reach my goals in life."

Trinity has established herself as a student who not only knows what she wants out of life but has begun living those dreams immediately.  Rather than pursuing a career in what she is good at, she chose to give back to others in need and is challenging herself to be a better person today than she was yesterday.   

Trinity wanted everyone to know what winning the Iowa Grown Scholarship meant to her, “It is such an honor receiving a scholarship from Iowa Proud. I would like to thank the board for believing in my abilities and willingness to make a difference in the lives of others. Helping others has always been a priority in my life which has led me to pursue Nursing at the University of Iowa. I have always dreamt of going to college, but would like to point out that it wouldn’t be possible without scholarships like the Iowa Grown Scholarship to alleviate the cost of attending the University of Iowa. Thank you again for your generosity and choosing me as one of the recipients of the Iowa Grown Scholarship.” 

Carly demonstrated how she was able to manage multiple avenues within her life, from working nearly full-time to helping with family obligations, while maintaining above average academic results.  Carly is pursuing multiple degrees and intends to use the knowledge she gains to manage her family's business.

Carly let the Iowa Proud organization know how appreciative she was in receiving this scholarship.  In her own words, "Your scholarship  will help me pay for a lot of  schooling I have left on my Associate of Science in Agricultural Business and Associate of Science in Agricultural Finance and can’t thank you enough for just giving me a chance and seeing the potential that I also have recently realized I have."
